They messed up Megatron!

I think I’m pissed.
I think they messed up Megatron in the upcoming live-action Transformer’s film.
I mean, they royally screwed up.
While reading up on the new movie coming out this July, I came across some interesting revelations:
1. Reporting indicates that Megatron will not transform into a gun, but rather a stealth alien ship.
2. They are bringing back the guy who did Optimus Prime’s voice, but not the dude who did Megatron’s voice.
3. The design of Megatron doesn’t even look like him.
So they went from the classic bad-ass Megatron of this...
... to this new design.

IT’S NOT EVEN MEGATRON!
Come on man, how are you going to screw up with something that is already established and respected. I mean, you can’t start calling a banana an orange, you can’t start calling your car a train, and you can’t start dressing up and acting like Guru Gobind Singh like that idiot Gurmeet Ram Rahim did!

I really hope the images leaked are not the real Megatron and just an early preliminary design. For those of you who do not know who Megatron is, he’s the ultimate bad boy in the Transformers universe. He was the leader of the Decepticons, and he was ruthless.
I’d put Megatron up there with other great villains like Cobra Commander, Mumm-Ra, M. Bison, The Rock, and even Karl Rove.
Worst of all Megatron is suppose to transform TO A GUN, NOT A PLANE! After all, that's why you have Starscream and crew.
Please Transformers live action team, prove me wrong.
So for those of you who never experienced the wrath of Megatron, here are some quick videos to bring you up to speed.

That sucks that they're not going to stick to the original Megatron concept. You'd think that Hollywood would've learned its lesson by now. All of the attempts in the past to alter book versions or comic book versions or cartoon versions of stories have failed miserably. I hope this movie is the exception to the rule. If not, it'll be just another movie on Michael Bay's list of catastrophic failures.

MEGATRON is better than ever, the old one way ugly?!?! yes he was! He lokes and actes more evil and better than ever before.
I don't know about looking and acting more evil. He had only a couple of lines and looked like a heap of trash walking around. The only Transformer that I thought looked good was Optimus.
I saw Transformers the Animated Movie (1980ish) over the weekend. It's better than the live action movie.

I thought the movie was a lame GMC commercial. Michael Bay and company either didn't do their homework or decided to exercise their artistic license by ignoring the cartoon, animated movie and comic series.
That gremlin like boom box that looked like it got it's rocks off by downloading info...if that was supposed to be Soundwave...Let's just say if they were to make a GoBots movie, it wouldn't take much to equal the Bar that Transformers set in place.
i agree dude. i was in the store and i wasn't even sure if i wanted to buy the transformers dvd. the only thing i want to see is the prequel video that was packaged into the dvd set, but i can wait on that too.
from my understanding, soundwave is suppose to be in the sequel. the tapedeck we saw in the movie was suppose to be one of soundwave's numerous cassette minions. time will tell, but i agree that the movie was not that good for NERDS like us.

Oh, thank god for the last Anonymous Post. I was really losing faith in man kind there for a second. I have to agree that crying because they changed something from the fucking 70s or what not to look cooler and more awsome to appeal to current society isn't wrong. Its called progression. Nobody wants to see the same old megatron, if we did we would watch the old ass cartoons. /agree /getalife
